Today you had your 15 month check up. For the first time, you recognized where we were and you screamed the entire time we were there. When we were leaving, I had daddy find a lollipop in the doctor's drawer for you. It took a while to convince you that you would like it, but once you got a real taste of it, the tears were off and the smiles were back on. You got a healthy report card from the doctor. He's a little concerned that you aren't walking yet, but also feels that it's right around the corner. You weighed in at 27lbs, 6 oz and you are 31 1/4 inches tall. The doctor asked about all of your milestones. He asked how many words you have in your vocabulary. This question caught me off guard and I quickly just answered "about 10". We then were curious, so daddy and I spent the next day writing down all of your words. So far we have...
mama
dada, daddy, dad (which you LOVE to scream at the top of your lungs)
hot
bath
babu (ball)
nana (banana)
no
ouch
bapple (apple)
da (dog)
meow
keys (sounds like kiss when you say it)
up
uh oh
oh no
You make monkey noises when we ask "are you a monkey?"
You just added "help" to your sign language vocabulary
You love to wave at anything in the sky (planes, birds, the moon)
You know the body parts: head, eyes, nose, ears, tummy, feet, toes, hands
You amaze us every day with how much you understand what we say, and how well you figure things out. Of course, we already know you are one gifted little guy :)
We love you to pieces little man!!!
